Fred Mccoy

PASTOR

Fred has been at Houston Lake Baptist Church since July of 2006. He has served  in three churches as the pastor, and as a full time Evangelist with over 400 Revivals in 18 different states. He has also been to the former Soviet Union, specifically Moldova, eight times on soul-winning missions and to Cuba on a mission trip also.   


In Demonominational life, he has served on the Committee on Nominations of the Southern Baptist Convention. In the Georgia Baptist Convention, Fred has served as Vice-President and on the Executive Committee and Administration Committees.


Fred has been married to his wife Jackie since 1981. Jackie is employed at Cornerstone Medical Management.  They have one son, Micah, who is employed at the Houston County E911 in Warner Robins GA. 


DANIEL B. STUBBS

Minister of Music

Danny is an ordained minister, a member of the Georgia Baptist Church Music Conference and an officer of Sons of Jubal. 


A native of Griffin, Georgia, Danny is a graduate of Georgia Southern (College) University in Statesboro, Georgia. He has served in churches in the middle Georgia area including Macon, Thomaston, and Fort Valley. He is a member of the Sons of Jubal, the Georgia Baptist singing group comprised of ministers of music, Baptist educators, and music leaders in Georgia Baptist churches. He has served on mission trips to China, North Korea, Russia, Moldova, Israel, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, as well as in upstate New York state here in the U.S. 


In his spare time, Danny loves to fish and garden. Danny is married to Kathy, who is an English teacher, chorus accompanist, and journalism and drama instructor. They have three grown children, Barry, Jeremy, and Katie Beth.

Jon Peacock

yOUTH mINISTER

Jon began volunteering as a lay minister in 2013, after joining HLBC in 2012.  


A native of Eastman, Georgia, Jon is a graduate of Georgia Southern University. He has served on three Moldova mission trips, at the Georgia National Fair Tent Ministry, as a Sunday school teacher and as HLBC Treasurer.  


Prior to serving at HLBC, Jon was a Special Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for five years, working on nearly 400 criminal cases as a crime scene specialist and in drug enforcement.  He also served as a patrol leader in an infantry unit in the US Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  


Jon enjoys college football, Braves baseball, and coaches Dixie Youth baseball. He is married to Erin Waldrep Peacock, a native of Forsyth, Georgia and pharmacist in Perry.  They have two children, Zach and Kara.
